She’s Rubber, I’m Through

Earlier this evening, I called Delta in from the yard. She came tearing up the yard, leaped on to deck and slid sideways in a sort of hockey stop until she slammed against the patio door. She bounced off, shook off, and continued inside. My heart bounced off my ribs, I shook my head, and continued on with a few more gray hairs.

Delta... rubbernecking.

Delta… rubbernecking.

I wish these dogs would give me a break instead of trying to break themselves.
